Fall begins, and calm sets in

Saw in the backroom a link to a blog of note relating to the share functions of artwork here. It's been so long since I've posted links that I'm not sure how this will work, but here goes: [link]

There's been some functionality added to those share buttons, which is nice to see. I stand behind my previous statement that giving the artist control of how the artwork is shared is respecting the artist.

Right now, I've discourages sharing on all my works here, it's a personal preference that I'll revisit when the time is right, and possibly if I feel like sharing my works off site. For now though, I feel good that I can restrict how the works are shared, and I'm more likely to post more stuff here in the future, given I have that choice available to me.

Art that stirs me is something I have to hang onto and share with others.

Hey!
It's just.me from theO. I found you by looking at Angel's watch list ^^
You've got some very nice photo's here :3
:iconscratchfire:
Thank you very much for the watch, it seems you're quite the botany photographer, did you grow the flowers to capture yourself?

very nice, relaxing gallery to browse, thank you. =)
:iconscratchfire:
It shows, your work is very nice and pleasing to look at. Great stuff =)

Thank you for noticing my work. Ninety percent of what I shoot in terms of plants are from my own yards, plants that were either here when I moved in, or planted there by me over the past few years. The rest are from public areas like parks, Wildlife Management Areas, places like that which are accessible. I do other subjects as well, but plants seem to like my camera the most.
:iconscratchfire:
woops, replied to the wrong comment D= oh well, you got the message anyway. it's always nice to see photographers that do more for their scene and composition than carry a camera all the time just to point and shoot.
:iconcosmictraveller:
I'll be honest about it, many of my better shots are dumb luck rather than carefully thought out, calculated efforts. Generally I like to shoot what catches my eye in a striking way. Those are the shots that mean a lot to me, the ones that just happen without really being expected. That's not to say I'm not experimenting to push the boundaries of what and how I shoot, I do that too, but a lot of those shots don't have a feel to them that I like.

Thank you.
